I collected Halloween candy wrappers from the streets after trick or treat time was over. I filled about half of a plastic grocery bag. My friend Thomas helped me. We couldn't see very well. Most of the garbage I picked up was candy wrappers and juice pouch straws. I spent about 15 minutes total. Next time I will be sure to use a flash light.

I helped an elderly woman tie newspapers and throw them into the recycling dumpster next to the middle school. I have never worked with twine before and she helped me figure out how to tie it together, and she was very patient with me. That helped her because it is hard for her to get out and I go to the middle school every day. I recycled so those newspapers can be used again. This project helped me figure out that it is not just about me and you have to help other people because sometimes they can't do things you can. We need to help the planet stay heathy and to show other people that we care about them.

This is me putting a bunch of plastic in the recycling bin. Me and my mom filled three garbage bags of nothing but plastic that we collected at home. We went to Blue Rock Park on Blue Rock Rd to recycle all of the bags of plastic.Almost all the plastics were food containers and bottles.

I helped my neighbor rake leaves. It took 2 hours and we had 8 bags of leaves for the trashman. My neighbor is elderly and needed my help.

Today, October 2, I did the walk for ALS at Winton Woods. My third cousin, Sandy, died of Lou Gehrig's disease four years ago. The walk was about three miles. Many family members did the walk too. Everyone walks each year in memory of her.
